The Chamundi Hills are situated about 13 km from Mysore and atop the hill lies a marvelously-sculptured Chamundeshwari temple. One has to climb up 1000 steps, to reach the temple. The architecture of the temple exquisite and worth marveling at. It has 7-tier gopuram and seven golden kalash at the top. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and depicts her with eight hands or Ashta Bhujas. This is one of the must-visit places in Mysore, with family.
